About Me

Stephen Gibler has been making films for over 10 years and specializes in Producing and Writing.

Since 2010, Stephen has produced 20 shows that have been as small as a few people with a budget of a couple hundred dollars to films with crews of 50+ people and budgets in the six figures.

His production company, Origin Cinematics, has produced media for USC, Chevron, Google Glass and Doritos. He also has written content or been the lead story supervisor for various commercial projects.

Stephen had previously worked at the film financing company Aldamisa Entertainment (Sin City 2, Machete Kills) and production company MPower Pictures (Stoning of Soraya M., Snowmen) where he oversaw a financial partners database and developed TV shows for pitching.

In 2012 he was awarded the USC First Look Producer of the Year Award for the film ‘Volcano Girl’. While at USC Stephen served as President of the School of Cinematic Arts Student Government and has set policies of inter-school collaboration and stronger student-industry integration. Stephen served as the assistant to James Franco while he taught at USC.

Before coming to USC Stephen created the sports talk show “Sports Jam”, a weekly half hour sports show that was pitched to the network ABMI and where Stephen served as the Showrunner and Head Writer. “Sports Jam” aired all over Massachusetts and New England.

When not producing Stephen has written for magazines such as “The Autism Perspective”, done extensive international traveling to war zones and has served in government roles at the student and local level for almost a decade.

Stephen is currently working professionally through Origin in Los Angeles.
